SURREALISM NOW! is greatly honored to present a True MASTER and one of the most fascinating artists ever to grace the arts with her masterpieces, BRIGID MARLIN! Its an honor and a privilege to exhibit the founder of The Society for the Art of the Imagination on this site! Brigid Marlin's artwork utilizes the 'Mische Technique' that was re-discovered by the great Prof.Ernst Fuchs during the 20th century. Brigid's art can be found in the private collection of the late great film director of the 20th Century, Stanley Kubrick and in public collections where her portrait of J.G.Ballard hangs in the National Portrait Gallery, London and her portrait of Cecil Lewis, founder of the B.B.C. hangs in Bush House.
Brigid Marlin was born in Washington D.C. She lives and works in Hertfordshire, England. In 1998 she founded the Society for Art of Imagination to promote Visionary and Fantastic art worldwide. She has exhibited her work all over the world and is part of the Arts Festival in Dubai, at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel August 2001. Among the portraits she has painted are the Dalai Lama, the Queen Mother, Lord Longford, Gertrude Crain of Crain's.
