THE PLACE
Reichenau, Austria is beautiful in August, a kaleidoscope of colors and a peaceful sanctuary from life's daily demands. Known as a ?healing? center with fresh mountain air and pure water, it is a place where many have come for centuries to rejuvenate, heal and restore their life forces. Come and reinvigorate your creative fire in the alpine rolling hills, mountains and colorful landscape. Individual creative expression is vital to attaining greater wholeness. The breathtaking beauty of the alpine countryside of Reichenau and the access to the fabulous city of Vienna (less than an hour away) provides a cultural experience that is vast. The extraordinary choice of museums and cultural points of interest in Vienna adds to the educational process while informal gatherings during our meals together in the evening or on outings, allow us to engage in conversations that are stimulating, informing and inspiring.
OUR CREATIVE COMMUNITY
We continue the tradition of passing on the knowledge and technical virtuosity of the old masters through this special artistic lineage. This summer, we have expanded the program allowing greater flexibility in time schedules and by offering various short and long-term workshops. Workshops will be available from weekend learning experiences to one, two, three and four week offerings. All workshops during the seminar dates are limited to a maximum of 8 - 15 participants each. ART LOVERS/Visitors not participating in workshops are given special rates when sharing a room with a seminar attendee and invited to join us on our museum and field trips . A new "buddy system" is now offered, allowing artists to share a room at a heavily-discounted rate during their studies. Aside from the knowledge gained, unavailable at any university, art school or institute, the camaraderie and networking that arises out of our creative community is always reassuring, rejuvenating and most inspiring. Artists that have attended, and many return again and again, relate how their experience was not only an inpsired one, but "life-transforming".
PRICE COMPARISON
This is not a sales pitch. We do not need to do that. But we do want to make people aware of the incredible experience and low prices we offer to both beginning and professional artist alike. For example, just compare the price of our 20 day residential program including accomodations and 90+ hours of instruction to other workshops that are only 6 days, or 11 days......its ridiculous, really. Our one and two week offerings are also offered at these special rates. We do this simply to make it accessible and affordable to most artists. On average, the workshops are 1/2 to even 1/4 of the cost of other residential art seminars in Europe - while offering a wealth of knowledge and experience not even available elsewhere.
