MONDAY FEB 20th, 2012: With the addition of the Surrealist, GROMYKO SEMPER and his new surrealism blog, "TOTEM", along with the addition of LANA GENTRY and BLACK MASS, who both have exclusive blogs and features, (solely exclusive to SURREALISM NOW!) the site has grown to such heights and has achieved much success in getting larger audiences and newer members!!!!!!!!!! More people are also tuning in to the site, as evident in site traffic stats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, more news and updates are being added, since there is an abundance of exhibition activity from group shows to solo shows with our friends and fellow travellers and comrades from the other art genres and movements, SURREALISM NOW! is getting more new artists coming aboard as well! WED. FEB. 1st, 2012: Below is the latest addition to The Keith Wigdor Collection and this is a rare clay sculpture 12x6x8 inches tall by the great modern anarchist artist from New York City, FERNANDO CARPANEDA. The name of the piece is called, "Elizabeth Taylor Transfiguration" and it was a collaborative commission piece that I proposed to Fernando to do for me, and I gave him the concept, motif, design and layout ideas, etc, and he worked his Mastery on it! I am damn proud to own two original sculptures by Fernando (and plan to own more in the future, he is a great art investment and his work is truly unique for today). You can see the piece below, and Fernando plans to publically exhibit this piece in various art galleries, identifying this clay sculpture as part of The Keith Wigdor Collection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, there are more updates being done on this site, STAY TUNED! Plenty more to come!

Thursday, January 19, 2012: HELLO EVERYONE!!! This is Keith Wigdor and I just wanted to let you all know that I am BACK and so is the one and only, SURREALISM NOW! We are now back online after a few weeks being offline due to maintenance, tweaking, etc, etc. Its the typical textbook procedures to keep this project going and to let you all know that SURREALISM NOW! is GOING TO STAY ONLINE for a very long time! There will be some more MAJOR Tweaking, Graphic Upgrades, and Site Enhancements taking place over the next year. The site and project is getting a complete upgrade and makeover and some heavy hitters are coming on board, (one is already: The Almighty BLACK MASS!) and also waiting on LANA GENTRY to come on board later this year as well. In the meantime, THE KEITH WIGDOR BLOG is getting "EVIL" in the pure SURREALIST sense, and a little taste of The God, MUDDY WATERS for your eyes and ears and soul to groove on to! TUESDAY, AUGUST 23rd, 2011: Out of the Hundreds and Hundreds of Original One Sheet Movie Posters that I have been unearthing (like an archealogist), this one stood out to me for its FINE Condition it was in, especially for its age. Many old movie posters really are in bad shape, some ranging from Fair to Poor Condition and in serious need of restoration and linen backing, this one however, is in Exceptionally Very Good Condition, and also of Historic Importance as well, with the plot and story involving labor wars on NY Waterfronts from the last century. I found this gem to be fascinating, even though the overall graphic layout and typography and font, etc, are not that intense, I still dig it a lot. Lately, I have been pulling out boxes of materials and going through them and I plan to photograph a lot more movie posters, etc for my blog, etc, etc, etc...

Friday, AUGUST 12, 2011: Its been a while since I updated my blog, I wanted to do something a little different in the mix, by introducing those who are new to this site (and blog) to take a look at THE FINE ART OF THE MOVIE POSTER! This site and blog is primarily composed of art and also culture, (and Surrealisme too! LOL!) so I wanted to turn on those NEW to this page, another piece from my ORIGINAL ONE SHEET MOVIE POSTER COLLECTION, (which is a few1000 plus posters and film ephemera) to an Original One Sheet for a 1962 Mystery Drama Shocker called, "TRAUMA". This particular piece, I find to be stunning, mostly due to the LAYOUT and TEXT FONT, which many in the Graphic Design spectrum of the Arts, know so well, but I want to turn Art Lovers, etc, on to this medium for the obvious reasons.
